ZigZag is a SAAS platform that helps retailers manage their eCommerce returns globally. Returns are a massive headache for retailers, especially those in the fashion industry, and can be as high as 60% in markets such as Germany.

On the front end, ZigZag provides a consumer-facing portal through which the customer can process a return. On the back end, returns are then consolidated in a network of over 200 warehouses in 130 countries. The ZigZag platform then helps retailers to grade the returns and determine the best outcome for the goods. This might include consolidation and return back to the country of origin, holding the goods in-country for resale to a new customer, sale at a discounted price on a local marketplace or donation, recycling or disposal of the goods in market to avoid further shipping costs.

ZigZag’s mission is to improve the customer service and international returns proposition of online retailers, whilst significantly reducing costs and waste in the process. ZigZag’s clients include Arcadia Group where it has managed to reduce the cost of a return by 57% and improve refund times by 65%.

ZigZag has won innovation awards at the World Retail Congress in Dubai and Shoptalk in Copenhagen as well as the 2017 Innovation in Sustainability award at the Fashion Technology Accelerator in Milan.
